As 2023 gets off to a start, many tech vendors will be keen to push the next iteration of their current systems and services, or showcase some new things in the hope that the perceived value is enough to persuade businesses that it’s worth upgrading or investing.
It can be difficult to separate true value and actual productivity improvements from marketing hype, and if there’s one thing the tech industry is known for, it’s hype. One of the things we’ll be doing here on this blog is disentangling the buzzwords from the day-to-day operational usefulness, and peering behind the sales pitch to figure out if it’s really worth upgrading GizmoWidget version 4 to version 5, or if your company really does need the new QuantumSpigot X or not.
We’ll also be looking at industry best-practices, jargon-busting and also reporting on security issues and solutions.
